JOB DESCRIPTION for Product Manager
Summary of the Position:
This position is responsible for leading the Product Management Department, with the ultimate goal of optimizing the current product portfolio of the company while simultaneously identifying opportunities for future product developments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide periodic and ad-hoc product reporting to support decision making; manage the products lifecycle in close collaboration with the Sales Department to monitor and improve sales and manage obsoletes;
- Lead product strategic planning, including market and industry intelligence to be conducted via both desk research and end-user engagement
- Coordinate new product developments, from idea generation to production set-up and commercial launch; support the design and execution of product campaigns and promotions
- Coordinate and grow human and other organizational resources assigned to the Product Management Department
Qualifications and skills:
- Data analysis and presentation (Excel expert level, Word and Power Point good level)
- Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Strong collaboration skills, to foster collaboration across all levels of the organization and with customers and end-users
- Creative, innovative, can-do mindset
- Able to write, speak and understand English; other languages are a plus
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (Mechanical or Metals) is required
- At least 5 years of experience in metalworking industries is required
Work Environment:
- Mostly office, with occasional travel within the Asia-Pacific region (when possible)
- Remote working is also being practiced as covid-19 S.O.P
